The Commonwealth Club of California is hosting a reception with Kate Kendell, Executive Director of NCLR, Geoff Kors, Executive Director of Equality California, and Brigitte Zypries, the German Federal Minister of Justice. After a wine and cheese reception, Minister Zypries will give a short presentation about the current situation of LGBT rights in Germany and the European Union followed by a panel discussion on the current state of marriage from a national and an international perspective.
