Nadya Shah is an independent documentary filmmaker who's work has spanned the globe. Her two short films, Neither Coal Nor Ashes and Thinking Freely, deal with issues effecting women and girls in Pakistan. Neither Coal Nor Ashes, 1995, was screened at the Human Rights Film Festival in New York, WNYC TV and the South Asian Women's Film Festival. Ms. Shah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, and an Master of Arts degree in Media Studies from the The New School.
Lee Wang is an award-winning filmmaker and video journalist. Her work, which focuses on international human rights, has been featured on PBS, CNN, Current TV and on the websites of Newsweek and The New York Times. Her documentary, SOMEONE ELSE'S WAR, which focuses on the work of Filipino contractors in Iraq, won an award at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival and was featured at the prestigious Roberty Flaherty Film seminar in 2008. Lee is a graduate of Yale University and the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism.
Jill Cordes is a television personality, currently appearing on the HGTV program My First Place and The Best Of on the Food Network. Ms. Cordes began her television career in 1995 as a news reporter at KNBN in Rapid City, South Dakota. She became a general assignment reporter for KSFY-TV in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She served as the morning anchor at KETV in Omaha, Nebraska, and eventually to Minneapolis, Minnesota as a reporter for WCCO-TV. Ms. Cordes was one of the original four finalists to serve as co-host to Barbara Walters on The View in 1999. She is a graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, with a minor in Political Science.
