Description:

The National Campaign to Restore Civil Rights (NCRCR) is accepting applications for a Campaign Director to lead a progressive, nonpartisan campaign that connects people and groups deeply concerned about the erosion of our nation’s civil rights in the federal courts. The Campaign works with a broad network, helping to share information, craft solutions to the rollback of civil rights in the courts, and educate the public, including through web-based approaches. The Campaign Director will report to the Chair of the Campaign’s Steering Committee.

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Building coalitions
• Recruiting, training & supervising volunteers and staff
• Organizing events & trainings to raise awareness
• Staffing committees
• Building & maintaining databases of contacts
• Leveraging partner resources
• Fundraising
• Day-to-day administration, including move of Campaign to new site
• Participating in planning for the future of the Campaign

Additional Qualifications:

Candidates should be organized (the position requires keeping track of and managing a large number of different tasks and contacts at once); attentive to detail; able to work independently and also be a team player; able to work with people of different backgrounds; and committed to social justice and civil rights.

Minimum five years of relevant experience, with a proven track record of relationship building and management. Bilingual skills a plus, and experience with social justice campaigns and legal background strongly preferred.
