Thanks to all the kids who entered our writing contests!

Everyone who participated is a star, and it was really tough to pick the best of what ended up being thousands of amazing entries from all around the country.

Our awesome panel of judges -- Reverand Sharpton, Congresswoman Solis, former NBA All-Star Kevin Johnson, ACLU's Dennis Parker, and civil rights lawyer Doreena Wong -- selected the final winners and runners up.

Entries to the writing contests answered the question "why is diversity important in our schools." The essay contest was for kids age 12-17, the quote contest was for kids younger than 12.
