Medical malpractice award bill passes

The U.S. House of Representatives approved a bill yesterday that would limit damage awards in medical malpractice cases. The bill proposes limits to patients' rights to pain and suffering and punitive damage awards, but it must be approved by the Senate before it becomes law.
